The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency stated it is actually alarmed regarding the superior range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The service issue made for intervention encounters a high inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for your Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to allow the servicing of all prospects and enhance access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
